LWV PRESENTS "VT's Response to the Challenges of Racism and Health"
Wednesday, February 9, 2022, 7:00 p.m.
A Virtual Presentation

The League of Women Voters of Vermont, in partnership with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library, is presenting the third program in its 2021/22 Speaker Series on "Racism and Public Health." The series offers a survey of the issues, personal and community experiences with racism, the role of environmental health policy, and information about efforts ongoing in Vermont to eradicate the impact of racism on public health.

Many state and local, public and private organizations pronounced racism a public health emergency in the wake of George Floyd's murder and efforts to achieve social justice. These include the Vermont State Legislature as well as professional societies and community groups. Besides making a proclamation, what are Vermont institutions doing to identify and eradicate racism, with an eye toward improving the health of all  Vermonters?
