Joseph Gerson is President of the Campaign for Peace, Disarmament and Common Security, an organization he founded after more than forty years working with the American Friends Service Committee as disarmament coordinator and director of programs in New England, and as director of the Peace and Economic Security Program. Joseph received his Doctorate in Politics and International Security Studies from the Union Institute and College.
This week on Gathering Peace, Joseph and I (the two Josephs!) discuss the crisis along the border of Ukraine and Russia and whether there will be war.
Because of his extensive network of colleagues in Europe and Asia, and his recent attendance at a Track II meeting of diplomats and advocates for peace discussing possible alternatives to war over Ukraine, Joseph is in a unique position to bring thoughtful commentary on how the crisis might be resolved peacefully.
