Our meeting will begin at 6:30pm with a communication from the Administration regarding the CityPlace project with an expected executive session. This update to the Council is expected to conclude at 7pm.
Following public forum and any climate emergency reports, we will move to our deliberative agenda which includes:
•A communication regarding the creation of a digital media redaction specialist within the Police Department.
•A resolution regarding the general aviation community at the Airport which would be referred to the Council's Transportation, Utilities and Energy Committee.
•A resolution regarding extending the public face covering mandate in Burlington for 30 days beginning February 1, 2022.
•A communication from the mayor regarding the appointment of a police chief. This appointment was announced on Thursday afternoon when the mayor voiced his selection of acting Chief Murad to fill this role.
