Spektral Quartet, World Class Musicians

Mad River Valley favorite, Scrag Mountain Music, welcomes the much celebrated Spektral Quartet back to Vermont for a program featuring the World Premiere of a Spektral Quartet/Scrag Mountain Music co-commission by composer Eliza Brown, The Light that Blurred the Stars for string quartet ,and Scrag co-Artistic Director and soprano Mary Bonhag.  Because of the recent Covid serge a livestream concert on Saturday January 29th at 7:30 pm, will be performed instead of the standard live performances in Montpelier and Warren.

Also on this program is George Walker's Lyric for Strings, Franz Schubert's String Quartet No. 13 in A minor D 804, Op. 29, Rosamunde Quartet, and an arrangement of the Schubert song Nacht und Träume performed by the Quartet, Bonhag, and Scrag co-Artistic Director and double bassist Evan Premo.

There is an Open Rehearsal on Zoom on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at 7 pm.  There you will be able to discover Eliza's new work alongside the musicians performing it and ask questions as they arise in you.  The Zoom link is also available by clicking on the link below.
