The Grand Isle Board of Civil Authority is meeting to discuss providing feedback on the proposed changes to legislative districts. Reapportionment/redistricting is constitutionally required after each census.

The currently proposed map for Grand Isle, as sent to us on January 20th, can be viewed at:

An alternative proposal ]similar to the October proposal previously reviewed by the BCA is still active. There are two maps linked because the alternative plan splits Grand Isle between two districts. The Grand Isle BCA has previously opposed plans that split Grand Isle between two districts.

A legislative hearing will be held on February 2 to receive testimony and comments from BCA's in Grand Isle, Franklin, and Orleans county.
