Finally, spring has arrived and to celebrate, Cabot Partners In Education will be hosting a Spring Fling BBQ fundraiser. This fundraiser is being held to support Cabot School’s June Term activities.

This event will take place, this Friday, May 23rd 2014, on the common. Food, including hamburgers, hotdogs, BBQ chicken, potato salad, macaroni salad and desserts will be served between the hours of 5PM through 7PM. Prices will be $6.00 for adults, $4.00 for children and $20.00 for a family.
There will be many activities for the whole family to enjoy including horseshoes, three legged races and sack races. The bouncy will be set up and for $5.00 you can purchase a bracelet that will allow access through the entire event.
Entertainment will be provided by Cabot School’s very own The Limes.
We will also be selling 50/50 tickets, for $1.00 each, at the door and throughout the event. A chance auction will be set up and thanks to our many gracious donors, we will be offering items such as a voucher or a set of brand new tires, wine basket, a cheese basket, a fishing basket, a gardening basket, a car care basket, a kitchen basket, a cleaning basket, a beach basket, a BBQ basket and much more. Tickets are being sold for $1.00 each or 12 for $10.00. Each item will have a place to put your ticket in. Tickets will be drawn raffle style at 7:45PM.
We know that Cabot is full of great bakers so to keep things interesting we are also hosting a dessert contest. Contestants may enter their best made dessert recipe to win awards and prizes. The desserts will be judged on uniqueness, overall appearance and taste. The cost to enter will $5.00 but will be waived if you donate a dessert (any dessert will do. It does not have to the same as entered). All entries must be received by 6:45 PM. Judging will begin sharply at 7:00. Winners will be announced at 7:30. Prizes include gift cards for Shaws, Price Copper, Ben and Jerry’s and the Cabot Store.
Once all of this winds down, you will have a chance to work off all the goodies with a dance party that begins at 8:00 PM. Music will be complied with by Cabot Students. A perfect way to end the night!
Should the weather not be as we all would wish it be, this event will be moved to the school gymnasium.
