The Bennington Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) and the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship will begin a series of five programs on pressing international issues beginning Feb. 20.
The Great Decisions program was developed by the Foreign Policy Association. Programs include pre-recorded presentations by FPA scholars followed by discussion among participants. A briefing book with material about each of the issues is available to purchase or on loan.
The first program, on Russia, is particularly timely given tension over the Ukraine. Because of the pandemic the discussion series will start online, using Zoom, on Feb. 20 at 2 p.m. Programs will continue monthly on Sunday afternoons through June.
Great Decisions is free and open to the public, but pre-registration is required. For information or to register for the series, please write to AAUWBennvt@gmail.com.
The schedule for the series is: February 20 -- Russia and the US; March 20—Drug Policy in Latin America; April 24—Industrial Policy in the US; May 15—Changing Demographics; June 12—Climate Change.
