The VT Envirothon is seeking teams of high school students who are interested in forestry, agriculture, wildlife and hydrology to sign up for the 2022 competition. All you need to participate is a team of five students in grades 9-12 and one adult coach (usually a teacher or parent). Students from public, private, homeschool and alternative programs are all welcome to participate.
The Vermont Envirothon is a state-wide competition where high school students put their knowledge of forestry, wildlife, soils and water resources to the test. The team that demonstrates the greatest overall knowledge is selected to represent Vermont at the North American Envirothon event held this year in Ohio. Over 2,000 Vermont students have participated in Envirothon since it began in 1996.
A training day will be offered in April (exact date & location pending) and the competition will take place May 17th 2022 at Shelburne Farms. We plan to host these events in person outdoors and will be monitoring COVID safety guidelines closely as the event days approach.
Each will receive a packet of digital and print resources to help them prepare and each participant will receive a complimentary t-shirt.
