Development of Advisory Committee for EHFD #1

At its September 14th, 2021 monthly meeting, the East Hardwick Fire District #1 trustees authorized the establishment of an advisory committee. This volunteer group will consist only of members of houses and businesses that are currently on the East Hardwick water system. Though the specific work of the committee is yet to be detailed, the intent is that it would provide advice, support and assistance to the work of the Board of Trustees. Besides looking at the current needs and challenges of the water system, time will be spent looking at State and Federal funding and incentives to enhance and improve the existing infrastructure, especially in light of the Federal money that is coming into the State for water system improvements.

The purpose of this inaugural meeting is to attract prospective committee members, to establish a structure and schedule for regular meetings, and to begin to identify the issues and concerns of those in attendance related to the current water system.
