Talking with Neighbors About Starksboro

Past event
Jan 30, 2022, 3 to 5 PM

On January 30th, the library will host its first Community Conversation:
"Starksboro's 1911 Town Hall: looking back and facing forward". Did you know that Vermont State Grange # 544 met at the Town Hall? Was your father or grandfather a member? Did your mother organize education programs for the Grange?

The plan with these Community Conversations is to accommodate residents so that everyone can participate in the best way for them. If it takes a loaner hotspot and laptop to participate by Zoom from home, we can provide that equipment. We had hoped that the first session on January 30th would be in person - however - Omicron/COVID is making that look less likely. Eventually, there will be a live, in person discussion at Town Hall in the library and there will be food! And fun will be had, I am sure of it.

Funding and training for this initiative was awarded by the American Library Association. If you would like to participate either in person or via a Zoom meeting, please let us know so we can start to form groups, plan the details and obtain the equipment needed.

Catherine Goldsmith, Director
Library hours: Monday 10-6, Thursday 10-5, Saturdays 9-2.
