Community members from Cambridge and surrounding areas will gather on Monday, January 17th on the lawn at Hubbard Hall (25 E. Main Street) for a candlelight vigil to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
The event will begin at 5:45pm with a candlelight walk from the intersection of E Main St. and NY-22, arriving to gather on the lawn at Hubbard Hall at 6:00pm.
Festivities include:
• Ceremonial bell ringing at 6:05pm
• Historical video of Martin Luther King Jr.
• Songs of Freedom
• Warm beverages provided
This event will also be raising funds to support the ongoing social justice work of The King Center. Donations can be made online at https://thekingcenter.org/.
