Anti-Racism Book Discussion Group

Past event

Our Anti-Racism Book Discussion Group meets at 6:00 on the first Monday of each month. Over the two and a half years we have been meeting, we have read books by black people, indigenous people, Asians - biography, history, poetry. We greatly appreciate the opportunity to learn about people's lives and ideas.

Among the books we have read are White Fragility by Robin DiAngelo, Black is the Body by Emily Bernard, Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Kimmerer and There There by Tommy Orange.

Our next meeting is on Monday, February 14 at 6:00, and we will be discussing A Mind Spread Out on the Ground by Alicia Elliott, a member of the Mohawk nation.

We welcome new members. We are meeting by Zoom, hoping to eventually go back to meeting in person. If you would like more information or you want to receive a Zoom link for the next meeting, please contact me at isablla1813@yahoo.com
