Free Film and Discussion Wednesday

Past event
Jan 12, 2022, 6 to 7:45 PM

Phew. Last year was a tough one. Let's watch some classic movies and laugh.

Alice Wuertele, will present two comedic films during the month of January, and will facilitate audience discussion after the viewing. In addition to being a French teacher, Alice has been a member and devotee of Catamount for 18 years, and is a cinémaphile, with a particular passion for French films.

Alice has selected two "mockumentaries" for January that will surely bring on belly laughs. Whether or not film-goers have followed the creative works of Eugene Levy, Christopher Guest, and Catherine O'Hara, or were introduced to them through "Schitt's Creek", these comedies are a must.

"Best in Show" is a behind-the-scenes look into the highly competitive and cut-throat world of dog shows through the eyes of a group of ruthless dog owners. From 2000. Rated PG-13. Directed by Christopher Guest.

Admission is free.

Alice's second film selection will be shown on January 19th: "A Mighty Wind".

Please Note: Mask Wearing is required in the Catamount Arts building. Proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test performed within 72 hours is required to attend this event. Please bring a valid ID.
