This Saturday resumes the annual Feed Your Tree to the Goats event at the Pine Island Community Farm.

Between 10am and 1pm and masked, take your tree to 1029 Pine Island Road in Colchester, a mile or so north out of Winooski on Mallets Bay Avenue.
The Vermont Land Trust-owned Community Farm provides new Americans a place to grow vegetables, chickens and goats for meat, but the nearly 400 goats of all ages are the main attraction. They provide lots of entertainment as they romp, play and munch on the tree needles, leaving behind the woody carcasses that will be later delivered to the McNeil power plant to create electricity for us in Burlington.
