MORRISVILLE VILLAGE TRUSTEE TOWN PLAN PUBLIC HEARING ON 1/5/2022
a/k/a THE MUNICIPAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN

The Morristown Selectboard & Morrisville Village Trustees hereby provide notice of public hearings being held pursuant to State Law 24VSA, Chapter 117, §4303, §4381, §4382, §4384, §4385, §4447, and §4447 for the purpose of receiving public comments concerning a newly proposed Morrisville/Morristown Municipal Development Plan, a/k/a the Town Plan. State planning statutes requires that the Municipal Development Plan be updated at least every 8 years.

The Municipal Development Plan for Morrisville/Morristown was last revised in 2015. It is anticipated that this new Town Plan, if adopted, will guide our community to the year 2030. This Municipal Development Plan would be adopted in accordance with 24VSA, Chapter 117, §4303, §4381, §4382, §4384, §4385, §4444 & §4447.

The public hearings for the proposed Morrisville/Morristown Town Plan are as follows:

PLACE:The Community Room of the old Tegu Theater, 43 Portland St, Morrisville Statement of Purpose: To provide the Town of Morristown/Village of Morrisville with a Municipal Development Plan that meets State of Vermont statutory requirements, furthers the planning goals contained in §4302 of 24 VSA, Chapter 117, and provides a sustainable roadmap for the growth of our community.
Geographic Area Affected: The entire Village of Morrisville & the entire Town of Morristown.
