Dear Woodbury Residents,
On January 4, 2022 at 6:00 pm in the Woodbury Elementary School gymnasium, the Woodbury ARPA Committee will host an important informational meeting regarding the American Recovery Plan Act (ARPA) funds, that are available for projects in the Town of Woodbury. The ARPA funds are intended to provide "a substantial infusion of resources to help turn the tide on the pandemic, address its economic fallout, and lay the foundation for a strong and equitable recovery." Woodbury is eligible to receive approximately $240,000 for pandemic related relief projects through this federal fund.
At the meeting on January 4, representatives from the Vermont League of Cities and Towns (VLCT) and the Central Vermont Regional Planning Commission (CVRPC) will provide information and guidance regarding eligibility requirements and potential uses for ARPA funds. The ARPA Committee strongly recommends that any Woodbury resident or entity who is interested in applying for ARPA funds, attend this meeting.
Applications for ARPA funds can be obtained at the Woodbury Town Clerk's Office and returned to the Town Clerk's Office Drop Box or mailed to Town of Woodbury, PO Box 10, Woodbury, VT 05681. The ARPA Committee will review and recommend to the Select Board, applications for projects that closely align with the ARPA guidelines and promote the greater Woodbury community. The Select Board will ultimately decide which projects receive the ARPA funding.
We look forward to seeing you at the meeting on January 4.
Sincerely,
The Woodbury ARPA Committee—Heather Lanphear-Chair; Retta Dunlap-Secretary; Dennis Baril; Justin Brown; Laura Murphy; Tara Rogerson
