Hi neighbors! Gina and Quinn here, local theater artists and ONE residents who moved to Burlington from NYC in 2020. We're delighted to invite you to a special performance this New Year's Eve that features YOU.
When we first moved to the area, we were told that one of the best ways to get to know our new community was by joining this very Front Porch Forum. We've been delighted and inspired by the humanity expressed in these daily postings, and we wanted to create a show that was a loving, funny celebration of our community, so...
Last New Year's Eve we created the First Annual Front Porch Follies, a variety show in which we performed dramatic readings of some of our favorite posts, followed by improv and sketch comedy scenes inspired by them. We streamed it from our living room and got a great response.
This year, we received a grant from Burlington City Arts to create a bigger, better Second Annual Front Porch Follies as part of the city's Highlight New Year's Eve celebration, and we'd love to see you there!
It will be performed in-person at a special outdoor venue at 405 Pine Street. And if you'd rather catch the show from the comfort of your own home, it will also be live-streamed. There will be songs, comedy, audience interaction, a dream ballet (yup, you read that right), and more! And, it's totally family friendly!
