Wintering Birds

Tim Duclos, MSc Ecologist, ornithologist and Conservation Manager at Merck Forest and Farmland Center returns to the Manchester Public Library to give an illustrated talk on the ecology of Vermont's wintering birds. The chickadee, cardinal, goldfinch, and others, how do they make it through Vermont's cold winter months? What are some simple strategies we can employ to support them? Observe the first day of winter together by learning more about our winter landscape and its feathered inhabitants. You'll come away with a new understanding and even some holiday treat recipes for the tweets. The event will be hosted on site at the Library in the Hunter Community Room. Tuesday, December 21st at 2PM. Free. https://www.mclvt.org
