Beginning this Saturday (12/11), VCC will host free yoga classes on the second Saturday of each month. Irena Pavlin, who has been teaching yoga for over 12 years, will offer a Gentle/Chair Yoga class from 9-9:45am and a Flow Yoga class from 10-11:15am. Gentle/Chair Yoga involves slow, supported movements with a focus on breathing and relaxation (participants must be able to sit comfortably in a chair). Flow Yoga is more vigorous and requires moving through various seated, standing, prone, and supine postures while maintaining a steady, even breath. Both classes are appropriate for all experience levels (from beginner to advanced), depending on physical abilities. Classes will be held in the downstairs fellowship hall.
