A group of CHMS friends are hosting a "Mini Holiday Market" this Sat. Dec. 11th at Richmond Market 10am-4pm. (in lieu of the town Holiday Market cancelled again due to Covid). They'll be outside under a tent and/or inside the foyer staying dry out of the forecasted rain. Items for sale by suggested donations will be: a plethora of baked goods (indiv. wrapped, covid-safe), and crafts including note cards, hats, dog treats & toys, earrings, ornaments and more.
ALL MONEY RAISED will go to support a local and global cause both in great need:
LOCAL: Vermont Refugee Resettlement Program - 7 families from Afghanistan have already arrived and more are expected soon and we will purchase gift cards they can use to help get items/supplies to help them settle in to their new homes and lives. DONATED WINTER CLOTHING is also welcome - we will have a BAG TO COLLECT ITEMS and will deliver to their office to distribute.
GLOBAL: World Food Program to help support the hunger crises in Madagascar due to global warming and drought.
