Do you find yourself struggling to feel the expected joy of the holiday season? Have you lost a loved one this year that makes it hard to imagine having a happy holiday? Have you noticed signs of increased anxiety or depression as the days have grown shorter and the darkness has grown longer? Does the future cause you concern? Do the holidays bring back less than festive memories that cause you to dread upcoming family or community events?
If you can relate to any of these feelings, our Blue Christmas Service at the United Church of Craftsbury may be just what you need. We will gather in the sanctuary for a quiet, peaceful, meditative, comforting service including scripture, prayer and song to soothe your soul, ease your worries, and assure you of God's love presence. Pastors Ed Sunday Winters from Greensboro and Kim Larose from the Church on the Common will lead a service we hope you will find meaningful.
All are welcome! Masks are required. Hope to see you.
***If you prefer to participate at home, this service will be video recorded and can be viewed the next day. See the link on our FaceBook page or on YouTube at United Church of Craftsbury.
