Subject: Virtual Travelogue: Frankincense Trees

Join us to hear Dr. Anjanette DeCarlo, an adjunct professor at UVM and a lecturer at St. Michael's College talk about the sacred frankincense trees that grow in tough environments, producing the resin given to baby Jesus, with little water or soil, sometimes growing only on rock. She will lead us on an exploration of the majestic landscapes where these trees grow in Oman, Somalia and across the horn of Africa. She will also discuss the spiritual and historical uses of this highly medicinal tree resin to honor the coming Christmas season. This presentation will expand and deepen your sense of the significance of the Wise Men's gift. DeCarlo is the founder of Save Frankincense.

This program is sponsored by the Community Senior Center. All welcome!
