Join Ragan Anderson, Brattleboro Food Co-op Education & Outreach Coordinator, for her "Cooking with Kids" monthly cooking class!
This month we will be baking! She will be teaching kids how to make "gingerbread folk" cookies, along with their grown-ups in their own kitchens. This series has been developed to encourage family fun in the kitchen. Ragan will be cooking with her daughter in their kitchen.
"We'll all make the cookie dough, shape our cookies, and bake them together. Once the Gingerbread Folks come out of the oven, we will decorate them with our own homemade piping icing bags," says Ragan, "And we had so much fun making pies in November, my daughter can't wait to do it again."
There will be activities while your cookies are baking. Also, you will be asked to pick up your FREE class "goodie bag" from the Co-op from Noon, Monday (12/20) through Tuesday (12/21), Noon, before the class at our Customer Service counter.
The bags will include:
A Gingerbread folk-shaped cookie cutter
Piping bags for those who would like them
Recipe cards
Activity sheets
Ingredients and equipment needs will be sent back to you along with a Zoom link after you have registered.
The class will be a live event on Zoom (click to download the app). The class also requires pre-registration. Be sure to register sooner than later as the class is limited to 10 virtual homes. Register here: https://www.brattleborofoodcoop.coop/event/gingerbread/
