Ride of Silence May 21

Past event
May 21, 2014

A note of reminder and invitation for the Ride of Silence on Wednesday May 21 in Middlebury. We'll meet at 5:45 p.m. at the Triangle Park Fountain on the Green (across from Skihaus) to say a few words, generally get organized, and head out at 6:00 pm. We will follow Group Ride Rules.

The Ride of Silence occurs worldwide on May 21 to honor the injured or loved ones who died while cycling. Together we will gather at the Fountain to mention the names of those you wish to commemorate and to share any stories you've heard where it happened to you or someone you know. This part will happen rain or shine. You can leave after this or choose a short or longer community-paced loop to ride, in silence. The rides will depend on weather and attendance.

Short Loop (guided): You can opt for a short 20-minute loop down Weybridge St over Pulp Mill Bridge and back into town.

Longer Loop (unguided): You can opt for a longer community pace 12.5-mile Weybridge loop: http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=5925855.
