Child Labor: Then and Now

On Thursday, December 9 at 1:30, Miriam Block, executive director of the Heritage Winooski Mill Museum, will present a virtual program that will focus on Lewis Hine photos of children working at the textile mills in Winooski and other parts of Vermont in 1909. Learn about the dangers of child labor in mills and how the National Child Labor Committee campaigned to make working environments safer. She'll also examine how child labor is still a global issue today.
