On Wednesday, May 21st we will be hosting a community forum at St. Peter's Parish Hall to enjoy a meal together (free, thanks to support from SAMHSA!) and discuss the effects of underage drinking.

While underage drinking doesn't get the same attention it once did, it is still a major issue for youth in our community. According to the Youth Risk Behavior Survey, more than 1/2 of high school students in our community have tried alcohol and 1/4 report that they currently drink. 12% say they first drank before they turned 13 and 11% binge drank in the past month.

Steve Waldo with the Vermont Department of Liquor Control will offer an entertaining and engaging presentation about why underage drinking is a serious problem that we shouldn't ignore and what we can do to help.
