The annual COTS Phonathon takes place Nov. 29-Dec. 2. Volunteers (like me!) will call past supporters, thank them for their help, and ask them to consider a gift to COTS again this year.
The Phonathon is COTS' oldest and largest fundraising event. More than half of the nonprofit's annual budget comes from community donations and events like the Phonathon.
This past year, COTS helped more than 2,332 people, including 352 children, facing the crisis of homelessness in Vermont.
COTS provides year-round emergency shelter for families with children and individuals; prevention and rehousing services; and affordable transitional and permanent housing. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, COTS also has a mobile outreach team that offers on-site support to families and individuals who are experiencing homelessness and staying in area motels.
