Lots going on in your little town!!
Small Business Saturday
Saturday, November 27th-Small Business Saturday in Brandon- Get your holiday shopping started in town and support your friends and neighbors in their businesses.
"Black Friday", the day after Thanksgiving, has grown into a national craze in which bargain-hunters awaken well before dawn to hit the malls and big-box stores, but for small, independent retailers, the following day, Small Business Saturday, has turned into their chance to attract customers as the holiday season starts. The annual event has become one of the busiest days of the year for many independent retailers.
While some shoppers may want to avoid crowded malls and shopping plazas, other shoppers get behind Small Business Saturday because they feel good about supporting small business owners.
Memory Tree
Sunday, November 28th-Chamber of Commerce Memory Tree Lighting at the Town Hall 4pm.
Many thanks once again to Elsie & Steve Sherrill in Goshen for their generous donation of two beautiful balsam trees for the portico of the town hall. Thanks to Dennis Marden and his elves for setting up and decorating them with thousands of lights!! We won't have all the regular gang of singers again this year, but we'll gather together for a prayer and maybe sneak in Silent Night to complete the ceremony that honors our deceased loved ones and lights our darkest days through the winter months.
Remember to get your list of names together and drop them off at Carr's Gifts-$1.00/bulb (Checks to BACC) or mail them to: BACC, PO Box 267, Brandon, VT 05733
You have until Saturday, Nov 27th or bring them to Bernie on the day of the tree lighting!
