Are you age 60 or over and looking for free activities to take the chill off winter? Counter Winter isolation? Learn something new?
Silver linings is a free, 5-week class (limited to 7 participants) to help learn about healthy aging during Covid times. We will be masked, physically distanced and following CDC guidelines while we meet in the spacious Children's Room downstairs in the Joslin Memorial Library for 5 Fridays from 10-11:30 AM beginning on December 3 running to Jan 14 with a snow date of Jan 21. There will be no sessions on the Fridays before Christmas and New Year's.
In addition to weekly journaling exercises, vibrant conversation and snacks, participants will receive a gratitude journal and guest presenters will come in to teach us some new skills. Dec 17, just before our winter holiday break, we will learn about chair yoga and its health benefits with Deborah Feldman. When we resume in January, we will be spending a session on rug hooking and each participant will receive a hooking tool and supplies to complete a small project with Susan Snider from the Mad River Fiber Arts and Mill.
For more information and to register, please contact Chrissy Rivers at Hannah's House at 496-9715 or by replying to Bobbi at brood@madriver.com. Call now to reserve as space is limited.
