The Middlesex Capital Planning Committee has been busy! The committee would like to fill you in on progress so far, and hear your ideas and suggestions.
Capital planning is a way for a community to look ahead at its "big-ticket" spending—things like town buildings, road equipment, land, improvements, and other large expenses. The idea is to make a list of Middlesex's biggest resource needs over the next 5–10 years, and prioritize with the community which spending should come when.
We've been working with the Central Vermont Regional Planning Commission to create an inventory of our town's capital assets, a description of future needs, and tools to monitor and plan current and future spending. What are our needs at our town hall? Our town garage? Other community assets? Please join us on 11/18 to learn more and share your ideas.
Please join us on Thursday, November 18 at 6 pm via Zoom. The town hall will also be open for in-person; please bring a mask to wear if you plan to attend in person.
