Guilford, VT-- A fall tradition, a home-made pie sale—for the second year under safe conditions--will be held on Saturday morning, November 20 from 9-noon in the Guilford Community Church parking lot, just in time to save some preparations before Thanksgiving.
According to organizers, church volunteers will bake apple, cherry, raspberry, rhubarb, pecan, pumpkin and specialty pies. Customers will remain in their car and a masked church volunteer will both come to car windows to take orders and deliver pies and collect payment of cash, check or credit card.
Pumpkin pies will cost $12, fruit pies $14 and pecan pies $16. All proceeds benefit the church, which actively supports over 15 local programs that serve the community including Groundworks and The Root Social Justice Center.
Take 1-91 to Vermont Exit 1 (Brattleboro), south on US Route 5 just past Guilford Country Store, make a left onto Bee Barn Rd. The church address is 38 Church Drive. Just follow signs and attendant directions. For questions, email guilfordchurch@gmail.com
