Nov 11, 2021, 7 to 8:30 PM

The Vermont Ski and Snowboard Museum presents: 40 Years Later: How the First Snowboarding Event in 1982 at Woodstock, VT Shaped Snowboarding.

Before the Olympics, before the X Games, and before the U.S. Open, there was the 1982 National Snow Surfing Championship held at Suicide Six in Woodstock, VT. In 1982, Paul Graves launched the first national snowboarding event that would go on to become the longest-running event in snowboarding history. Forty years later, Paul does it again. An entrepreneur at heart and a snowboarding OG, Paul brings us a new event - The OG Invitational. Once again at Suicide Six, the best in the snowboard industry, and many of the original riders from the 1982 event will gather to celebrate the 40th Anniversary this coming February.

Paul has gathered his friends, teammates, and OG riders from the 1982 event to sit around the virtual Red Bench to share stories, reminisce, and discuss their hopes for the new event. Join us on Thursday, November 11th and meet these snowboarding icons and ask them questions.

This event is complimentary but we encourage and appreciate a $10 donation to help support this series. Register for the event here, https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_Y7f-57kzSu6V4qHg1TdNyg
