A few local residents are working with Window Dressers to help bring window inserts to our community in Burlington. These inserts are double layer, low cost, and testing has shown that interior inserts like this are among the most effective window treatments and can cut heating bills by nearly 10%. Window Dressers' framework is that participants pay for the materials and then volunteer to help assemble inserts during an annual "Community Build." If participants cannot afford these inserts, but would greatly benefit from the energy savings, they are free due to donations or grant funding.
We need more volunteers at our community build especially Saturday November 13 and Sunday November 14. Shifts are either 8:30am-12:30pm or 1-5pm. If you are interested, please sign up here: https://signup.com/client/invitation2/secure/1097012304413042075/false#/invitation
Hope to see you at our community build!!!
