The Chittenden County Historical Society presents-
" Burlington's Lost Mural & Little Jerusalem"
Sunday, November 21, 2021 at 2 p.m. This is a zoom meeting. Attendees will need to visit the CCHS website (http://www.cchsvt.org/) to register for this event. An email will be sent with the log-in code.
Historians Jeff Potash and Aaron Goldberg will discuss the 'Lost Mural' and its context in Burlington's Little Jerusalem community. The talk will focus on the creation and rescue of the mural, originally the work of local artist Ben Zion Black commissioned in 1910 for the Chai Adam congregation. It was rescued in 2015 after a long effort to secure this important artistic and cultural artifact, and is now installed in the lobby of the current Ohavi Zedek synagogue on North Prospect Street.
