Drag Yourself Away from Your Torture

Past event
Jun 10, 2014, 6 PM

"I come before sunrise to chain you and drag you off. It's amazing and funny that you have to be pulled away from being tortured, pulled out into this Spring garden, but that's the way it is.” - Rumi

Join a lecture and discussion about how the mind and body conspire to torture each other rather than work together for their common good. The topic for discussion is “Teaching the mind and the body to communicate: Why bother”. We will discuss how mind-body conflicts lead to stress, discomfort, illness...all of which can be avoided or reduced. Bring your interest in how your mind works, and why your inner voice is so often a pessimist and join the discussion.
