Ward 8 residents, this is your chance to give your opinions on redistricting
Now is the time, neighbors, for you to give your input about city redistricting. As you know, the City Council has set up an ad hoc redistricting committee, made up of representatives from each of the eight city wards. The task of this committee is to get input from as many Burlington residents as they can about the current districting system and to develop recommendations to the City Council. This committee has met and now is hosting 3 citywide meetings to gather ideas, opinions, feedback about current city districts from Burlington residents. How is the current districting system working? What needs to be changed? What suggestions and feedback do you have for our representatives to take back to the larger committee for discussion and recommendation to the City Councilors.
Please consider attending at least one of these meetings. They will be both in-person as well as online. The first meeting is THIS MONDAY, NOVEMBER 1 AT CONTOIS AUDITORIUM 6-8 pm. Here is the Zoom information for all three public redistricting meetings:
