On the agenda are the financial considerations for the formation of a Union School between ANWSD and MAUSD.
On the timeline, before sending Articles of agreement to Montpelier, there does not seem to be any point where the MSC is planning to:
- discuss the disadvantages of merging governance
- discuss the advantages of collaboration and possible job sharing (e.g. sharing a superintendent and/or business manager) without taking the more radical step of merging governance
- make a decision on whether or not to recommend merging
If you think the committee is on a fast tract to propose a merger without considering other options and without assuring towns that they will have a vote whether or not to close their school, you can speak up at the public comment time at 8:25.
