United Church of Johnson
100 Main Street, Johnson, Vermont

On October 31, 2021, at 9:15a.m. our church will celebrate the Fifty Year Anniversary of our building. The original sanctuary was destroyed by fire in 1969. After the fire, church members united their energy and shared hope to design and construct a new building. With a creative contemporary architectural plan and enthusiasm to modernize the church they succeeded; the new building was opened in 1971. The structure includes natural lighting in all rooms which wrap around the peaceful sanctuary as the center point. These rooms provide a calm and calming space for Spiritual learning, Worship, Prayer, and meaningful social gatherings.

The members are ecumenical and interfaith. All people are welcome here, and all expressions of belief in God are accepted. You are invited to visit and enjoy this celebration event. The children's choir will sing. The Celebration Planning Committee members, Alice Whiting and Bill Perkins, will present excerpts from the journal of church history. Many photographs and a fascinating historic video will be available for you to enjoy. Special treats will be provided.

Come share this day with us as we bridge the past with the present, and bless this house of God for future generations.
