Veterans, their guests, and community members are cordially invited to attend the Veterans Day observance at 1 p.m. Nov. 9 on Norwich University's Upper Parade Ground.
Rhode Island National Guard Assistant Adjutant General – Air Kimberly A. Baumann, a 1987 Norwich University graduate, will speak at Norwich University's Nov. 9 Veterans Day observance. Baumann, who distinguished herself as the first female Norwich cadet to reach the rank of general officer, has her named etched on the Bicentennial Stairs.
The ceremony will include prolonged cannon fire for the Roll of Wars, a wreath laying, firing of three rifle volleys and the playing of echo taps. The ceremony may also include a flyover of two F-35s over the Upper Parade Ground around 1:45 p.m.
