The Henry Sheldon Museum invites the public and Sheldon Museum members to our virtual Annual Meeting on Monday, Nov. 8th via Zoom. The special guest speaker is Alexander Wolff, journalist, historian and author of the recent acclaimed book "Endpapers: A Family Story of Books, Escape, and Home."
The meeting begins at 6:00 and at 6:45 Wolff will present his talk titled "Riddling Out Endpapers." Wolff's remarks should be of interest to anyone eager to illuminate their ancestors' lives and times with primary source materials.
Wolff spent a year in Berlin, sifting through family letters and mining German archives for his book "Endpapers." In this presentation he describes the process of researching and writing this saga about his book publisher grandfather who fled the Nazis and his father who was left behind to fight for them. With surprising revelations from never before published family letters, diaries and photographs, "Endpapers" is a moving and intimate family story, weaving a literary tapestry of the perils, triumphs and secrets of history and exile.
The Event is free. For more information and to register go to:
