Greetings Vergennes area residents, I am excited to announce that Troop 539 has been asked to host the annual Scouting Salute to Veteran's parade on 11/6/2021. The parade will commence at 11 am starting at Vergennes Union High School and conclude at Vergennes Union Elementary School. The route will be Monkton Rd to Main, to Green, to East St. Troop 539 has become the largest scouting unit in the Green Mountain Council and we look forward to welcoming scouters from across the state to Vergennes to honor our brave men and women who have served in our armed forces. We would love to see as many community members as possible along the route to support this amazing event. Any veteran that wishes to participate in the event is welcome and can reach out to me directly for more info. Thank you to American Legion Post 14, the City of Vergennes, Vergennes PD as well as other volunteers to help make this happen!
