LOCAL CONCERNS MEETING
SIDEWALK SCOPING STUDY IN THE VILLAGE OF ROXBURY
Monday, November 1st at 7PM in the Roxbury Community Hall

A Local Concerns meeting for the project listed below will take place November 1, 2021 beginning at 7 pm at the Roxbury Community Hall. The meeting will be held by the Roxbury Selectboard and local engineering consultant, Hoyle Tanner Associates Inc.

The Town recently applied for VTRANS Scoping Bicycle and Pedestrian Grant. The Town was awarded funds for the Scoping Study for future construction of a sidewalk in the Town of Roxbury. This study will look at different alternatives, assess right-of-way and environmental impacts, conduct engineering investigations, develop construction plans, specifications, and estimates.

The proposed project area will begin at the north end of town near Windridge Camp and continue south to the Roxbury Fire Station.

This meeting will explain to interested parties, the project development process, a summary of the identified problem(s) and/or conditions(s). We will be seeking comments and concerns relative to the proposed project.

The purpose of this meeting is not to present solutions but rather better define the problem(s). We will then use any comments and/or concerns that arise from this meeting to develop a purpose and need statement for the project and determine a corrective course of action.
