We are excited to share the latest information on a new housing project that may be coming to our Underhill Flats community. Property has become available adjacent to the United Church of Underhill which may be suitable to build 6 to 8 affordable homes for working families. The United Church of Underhill has partnered with Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity to initiate this project we are calling "Harvest Crossing." A committee of church members and Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity have been meeting weekly to develop a plan to build affordable housing for working families in Underhill. Challenges are many and we have been making progress on: meeting wetland environmental regulations, zoning requirements, working with the Town of Underhill to apply for grants, raising money through donations and preliminary engineering considerations.

Please join us so we can share our vision and the updated progress of this exciting project. Two open forums for community members are planned on Tuesday November 2nd at 7:00 pm in a Zoom platform (see below) and Wednesday November 3rd at 7:00 pm in the United Church of Underhill, 7 Park Street, Underhill. (Masks are required for the Church meeting.) All are welcome to attend, ask questions, and share feedback.
