I would like other Argyle residents to know that there will be an Argyle budget hearing Tuesday evening, October 26, at 6:30. Based on information presented at previous hearings, the budget calls for a total spending of $2.16 million. About $1.54 million will be raised via a town tax levy, which is on par with 2021.

The budget hearing will be followed at 6:45 by a hearing on Local Law No. 1 allowing the Town of Argyle to "override the limit on the amount of real property taxes that may be levied" due to the Town's responsibility for Workman's Compensation contributions and costs imposed by the State that have not yet been determined.
