Community Running Festival: Rutfest Nov. 6-7!

Past event
Nov 6, 6 AM to 6 PM, Nov 7, 2021

Are you a seasoned ultra-runner looking for a fun event close to home? Or a newbie runner just curious about what the ultra scene is all about? Or maybe you just like walking in the woods and supporting local charities? Well we have an event for you! The Richmond Trail Running Club is excited to announce our first official running event: RUTFest (Richmond Ultra Trail Festival) is an all-weekend, very relaxed charity race where you can enjoy local trails with our community. All proceeds support Josh's House VT, Enough is Enough VT, and the Catamount Outdoor Center.

We are seeking runners and also VOLUNTEERS to help at our aid station!

On November 6-7 we will have two trail loops set up at the Catamount Outdoor Center (4 and 3 miles) and participants will run or walk these two loops, back and forth as many times as they want. We will have an aid station/home base at the center with lots of snacks where we keep track of who is on course and how far they have gone. At the end of the weekend, we will have a dinner celebration and awards for all our participants.

Please see our Facebook event: https://www.facebook.com/events/207196598097784
And sign up to be a runner here: https://ultrasignup.com/register.aspx?did=88075

This is the weekend to run further than you ever have before!

We will also be hosting a movie showing of Maia Buckingham's "Supported," documenting Ben Feinson's 2021 Fastest Known Time (FKT) on the Long Trail. Movie premiere is Friday 7PM, location TBA.

Hope to see you there!
