Dear Neighbors,

This coming Monday, the City Council will convene its second of two regular meetings for the month of May.

We will convene our Council meeting in Contois Auditorium in City Hall at 7pm.

We will begin our meeting with a communication from Chapin Spencer and Bethany Whitaker, Burlington's representatives to the CCTA board. In March, the Council passed a resolution that requested that our CCTA representatives come to a Council meeting every two months to update us on CCTA operations and workplace culture developments following the driver's strike.

After this communication, we will hear from Nate Wildfire, Assistant Director of Economic Development at CEDO on how the projects the voters approved for TIF funding are progressing.

At our May 12 meeting, we heard from Assistant Director Wildfire and one of the owners of the Burlington Town Center regarding the two hour fee parking agreement with the Town Center mall. We will be voting on a resolution on this agreement. We will also be voting on a resolution regarding the sale of 82-90 South Winooski Avenue to City Market. (This is the address City Market occupies.)

We will then have council committee reports, comments from councilors and the Mayor.

We are expected to have an Executive Session to be updated on the Gateway block.

We will have a short meeting of the Board of Civil Authority regarding appointment of voting officials and a meeting of the Board of Tax Abatement to approve several tax abatement requests.

Please keep in mind that you are welcome to come to a council meeting and speak to the Council on any subject you wish during our Public Forum which begins at 7:30pm.
