5-Town Fire Dept. Food Drive This Saturday

Past event

On Saturday the 23rd of October the fire departments of Bristol, Lincoln, Monkton, New Haven and Starksboro will open their fire station doors from 9:00 a.m. to noon for the purpose of collecting non-perishable goods for the Have-A-Heart food shelf.

The Have-A-Heart program provides assistance to our neighbors in each of the five town area throughout the year. This food drive has been a major boost that enables them to replenish the shelves prior to the upcoming winter months, when the cost of fuel and related expenses results in a greater demand from our neighbors seeking help from this program. This is the 14th year of the 5-Town Fire Department Food Drive. 2021 has been unprecedented in so many ways…and now the need to help those who need a helping hand is more prevalent than ever before.

We sincerely hope you can take the time to drop by your local fire station, be it in Bristol, Lincoln, Monkton, New Haven or Starksboro and leave a donation of non-perishable goods. You can also write a check, payable to the Have-A-Heart Food Shelf if that is your preference.

Firefighters truly believe that our job is 'neighbor helping neighbor' and this is another example of their efforts to do just that.

Thank you…and we hope to see on Saturday.
