Capital City Concerts presents Boston's Borromeo Quartet on October 23 at 7:30PM at Bethany United Church of Christ in Montpelier, and Sunday, October 24, 3PM at Saint Paul's Cathedral in Burlington. The quartet has been hailed for its "edge-of-the-seat performances," by the Boston Globe, which called it "simply the best."
The program -- which marks the return of Capital City Concerts to the concert hall -- will include African-American composer Adolphus Hailstork's "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot" Quartet and Beethoven's transcendent Op. 132 String Quartet, which includes a "hymn of thanksgiving." Nicolas Kitchen, first violinist for the Borromeo Quartet, says, ""I think this [Beethoven] movement is a beautiful and profound, unbelievably special way to address some of those feelings of recovery and thanks for being able to rejoin what we had valued so much and maybe taken a little for granted."
To ensure audience safety, seating will be limited to half capacity so we strongly recommend buying tickets in advance at www.capitalcityconcerts.org
Masks and proof of vaccination please.
The concert may also be attended remotely and watched on-demand.
