The Vermont National Guard Military Museum and Library at Camp Johnson will hold a special event to be held on June 7, 2015, in honor of the 70th Anniversary of D-Day (June 6, 1944). Lots of activities are planned for all ages including indoor and outdoor tours of the faciity. In an earlier release, an appearance by the 40th Army Band was mentioned and five members of their woodwind orchestra will be providing three performances throughout the day at the Museum, but the entire band will not be attendance.. The event is free and open to the public and all are invited, especially veterans of WWII and more recent conflicts. The Museum's 4,000 square feet of exhibit space offers memorabilia and artifacts from the Revolutionary .War to the present conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.
