Have you or someone you know struggled to find or afford childcare? Have you been challenged to hire and retain employees because of the childcare crisis? Even before the pandemic, 3 out of 5 of Vermont's youngest children did not have access to the care they needed. COVID-19 has only exacerbated already pressing challenges for families and early childhood educators. Without equitable access to a high-quality and affordable childcare system, Vermont cannot fully recover and grow its workforce, support young families, or set its youngest residents up for future success in school, relationships, work, and life.
Join Let's Grow Kids and Women United for Part 2 of The Child Care Crisis and What YOU Can Do About It and become a childcare advocate. In this training you will learn the next steps in working together towards lasting change for children and families in Vermont. We will cover how a bill becomes a law, how to use your story for change, and how to help build the movement in your community.
The need is clear, the time is now. While 80% of Vermonters understand that childcare is essential, it's time to put this understanding into action so we don't miss this critical window to invest in early childhood education.
